Album 37: Pratt (2 albums)
Two Civil War Era PRATT MORSE Family Albums with CDVs (Cartes de Visites), cabinet cards, ambrotypes, daguerreotypes
Surnames: Pratt, Morse, Morgan, Wilcox, Johnson, Pond, Stephen, Brach, Andrews, Steele, Lisdale, Wooster, Blakesly, Stevens

I own 2 of the 3 albums sold at the Pratt Morse family estate sale, plus 5 ambrotypes and daguerreotypes. I wish I could have purchased the third album but they were very expensive. Two male members of the Pratt family, Franklin Amos Pratt and Charles Pratt, were both in the 1st Regiment, Connecticut Heavy Artillery and R.S. Morse Sr may have also been in this regiment.
Pratt Morse Album #1
This is a large photo album containing photos of members of the Pratt and Morse family, originally from Connecticut with some of the relatives living in the Gloversville area of New York. Some of the photos may also be of family friends. Included in the album are 28 cabinet cards and 12 CDV photos (total of 40 photos). Photos range in date from 1865 up to 1902.
Only two of the people in the album, a girl and an older lady, are not identified. Names are written on album pages and also on the backs of many of the mounts, along with some dates when the photos were taken or age of the person in the photo. Album measures 9” x 12” x 2 ½”. Red plush cover with metal designs on the corners of the front cover and a metal emblem in the middle of the front cover. Ornate metal clasp intact and still works to secure the album.
