Civil War Era Coon Chapin Family Photo Album with CDVs (Cartes de Visites), circa 1860 & 1870s.
Surnames include Coon, Chapin, Stickney, Austin, Harvey, Yates, Streeter, Hutchins, Young, Hall, Palmer, Smith, Elias, Tenney.
Locations include Ohio, Illinois, New Hampshire, Wisconsin. The Coon family originated in New York, the Chapin family in New Hampsire. Some COON branches lived in Berrien Michigan, others in Ohio.

Small brown album. Exterior of Album: A bit of gold gilt remains in the embossed areas. A celluloid type medallion of a boy and girl is on the front & on the back a young couple as well as white milk glass "feet". Tombstone cutouts single photo pages. Measurements: 4 x 5 1/4 x 2 1/4.
