HUT-28. “Gertrude Tullige” Gertrude Tullidge born 1849 Indiana died 1941 married David Hoover Hill. 1850 census Brownsville, Indiana shows Gertrude as 1 year old with parents Alfred Tullidge (37 born England) & Belinda (31 born England). note HUT28 Thanks to Katherine Scattergood, we have a very nice lengthy newspaper article dated July 26, 1940 from The Palladium Item and Sun Telegram called "Nonagenarians Laugh About School Pranks 80 Years Ago" Excerpt: "Bertie Tullidge tied knots in Sarah Burgess' bonnet strings during recess one day at Hiram Hadley's Quaker school in Richmond..... Now Gertie Tullidge who since has become Mrs. Gertrude Tullidge Hill, will be 91 years old on Sunday July 28. Sarah Burgess.. is Mrs. Sarah Shumard...
